STADTSTRUKTUR

Das Grundstück ist von der Beckmanngasse erschlossen. Der kleiner Hof ist mit relativ hohen Bestanshäusern umrandet und deshalb, obwohl ruhig, nicht ideal belichtet.

GEBÄUDESTRUKTUR

Die Erschliessung erfolgt über offene Zone im Erdgeschoss weiter über offene Stiege, die auch als Gemeinschaftsbalkon bzw. Kommunikationsfläche benutzt werden kann. Statisches Konzept und zentrale Sanitärkern ermöglichen Flexibilität in Hinsich Wohnungsgrösse und Grundrissgestaltung.

WOHNUNGSSTRUKTUR

Es wird ein breites Spektrum an Wohnmöglichkeiten für unterschiedliche Zielgruppen angeboten. Grundrisse funktionieren in unterschiedlicher Offenheit, unterschiedlichen Lifestylemodellen, oder für unterschiedliche Charaktere der Benutzer.

GESTALTUNG

Straßenfassade ist Haut aus Metalic-Putz, die sich auch in der Dachräge vorsetzt Gliederung erfolgt durch wechselhafte Anordung der Loggien und Fenster in zwei verschienen Größen. Hofseitige Fassade wird durch Balkone und offene Erschließung gegliedert. Skulpturale Natur der Erschließung wird durch Anwendung des Solis-Stofes beim Geländer betont.

URBAN STRUCTURE

The building is situated within the existing urban fabric of Vienna. Because it is surrounded by the existing high buildings, the small courtyard does not get an optimal amount of light though it is rather quiet.

BUILDING STRUCTURE

The different units are accessed through an open staircase, which is attached to the courtyard facade. The access balcony also serves as a communication and meeting space for inhabitants. The good visibility of access to the units results in a higher level of communication and social control and enhances the inhabitants' subjective sense of security. This is further supported by the additional features e.g. an elevated community terrace in the courtyard.

APARTMENT STRUCTURE

The building offers apartments for all age groups: singles, couples, families with children, seniors. The barrier-free access also addresses persons with physical limitations.

FAÇADE

The street façade is a skin made of metallic-plaster finish, which continues further into the roof. The façade is structured through the changing placement of loggias and windows in two different sizes. The courtyard façade is defined by balconies and the attached access staircase. The sculptural aspect of the staircase is further highlighted through the application of a "Soltis" fabric on the handrails.
